The DVD starts and appears on the screen, but there is a message that wants you to click 0k to continue. I have changed the battery in the remote, but I still does not work. Is there a way to accept the message or operate the DVD without the remote

I have the same problem. I believe you have to clock OK on the navigation screen or something before you can use the remote, I could be wrong though as I briefly researched it and never followed through. I have the stock dvd rear entertainment system.
