How many here have had NO cracks in their dash board ?????
Please post to get an idea of how many are having NO problems

I bought my '08 with 83K miles from a guy who parked the GX in his garage , no problems so far , I park outside as the garage is full of motorcycles , I fear mine with start soon after the end of May

 

I bought mine last May from San Diego Lexus. '07 with 124k - now has 133k. All scheduled service (along with non-scheduled) shows up on-line so from what I can tell the owner had practically everything done at that specific dealership - including a new drive shaft for the 'clunk' & the timing belt at 88k. Could tell it was a 'soccer mom' type of vehicle - cargo area was fairly beat up and some scratches here and there on the exterior, but mechanically it's in great shape, including the air suspension (knock on wood).

That all said - my dash has zero problems & there are no records indicating otherwise. I've been watching it over the past year and have found nothing.

Edit: BTW - mine was parked outside from last May until a month ago. Black w/ gray interior so it got hot. I rarely used the sunshade - too lazy.

 

I have an 08 GX and was told by a representative at LEXUS that based on the VIN/Mfg date my vehicle does not fall into the grouping of vehicles impacted by the cracking dash. I believe my GX was manufactured in July 2008. I can't locate the number I called, but I think I called the general number for LEXUS I found on the web, and was transferred to the appropriate dept.

 

2005 with no cracks and no record of replacement from previous owner.

 

My 03 had tons of cracks until a couple months ago when I got the extended warranty replacement. No cracks yet.

 

My '08 with 103K miles has no cracks, but I'm checking right up until the end of this month in case anything develops.

 

Mine is 09, don't know manufacture date, but I don't have any cracks. It was inside for the winter, but garage turns into general shop during the summer so it may live outside a lot of the time.

 

04,130k, no crack. I think the dashboard cracks happen more in down south than up north area.

 

'08 with no cracks here. I think this GX was garaged normally prior to my ownership.

 

same here , I'm afraid it's gonna happen in June

 

For those of you with no cracks, make sure to examine the very edges (along the doors) -- sometimes there are small cracks there that aren't generally noticeable.

 

Took mine to the dealer for the air bag recall, they checked the dash, I don't see any cracks, they ordered me a new dash.

 

2006 GX with 132k miles. no dash cracks in Chicago.

 

Open the doors and check the sides of the dash, that is where mine started and I never noticed it because the actual dash is fine.

 

08 No Cracks. But just as a precaution I use Sun Shade for Windshield in summer, as I have noticed that DASH gets super hot if left without it.
