Looking to upgrade my stock chrome 17" wheels for something better. My GX is a street queen with the occasional "hold my beer and watch this" moment, to which it always responds favorably. I digress. I want to go to a set of take offs from a 2017 Chevy Silverado LTZ. Great looking wheels. 20" with nice Michilin tires. My question for y'all is, has anyone done this? Has anyone made a fitment chart of other mfg wheels that will fit the GX?

Those wheels will not fit. The bolt pattern is the same but the centre hub bore will be too small on those wheels.

 

RZ, I know th whole is smaller. I should have been more specific. The wheels can be machined. Has anyone done this?

 

No experience machining the Chevy wheels but I just put on a set of brand new 17" takeoffs from a 2017 Tacoma with the stock Toyo rubber (same size as the GX). Had to slightly grind the brake caliper casting about .020" in one spot so it wouldnt rub the inside of the rim. Looks much sharper than the silver peeling rims on a GX.

 

Looks sharp. Can we see them mounted on the GX?!

Looks good man, nice work. Oddly enough, as soon as I walked out of work yesterday, I saw these on a Tacoma.

 

I really like the mid 2000 Toyota Sequoia limited rims if I was going to replace my factory rims. Mine have started to corrode enough where I have noticed but the cheapest price I go around my area to get them sanded and resprayed was $450.

 

I am in the same boat at you. I am currently looking at 2 different options, will decide if/when I get the wheels. I am thinking about either machining the wheels for the larger bore or getting spacers made that will accept both the bore of the hub and the GM wheel.

I am guessing its going to be a matter of fitment, if the spokes of the wheels hit the caliper like RushNatU had, then I would probably consider the spacer, especially if the offset and spoke design is so that I couldn't just shave the caliper. If there is no interference, then I would just get the wheels machined.
