I noticed some rust on the rear doors just behind the black plastic trim. It appears as though the plastic trim piece retains water around the openings in the sheet metal and over the course of time it has led to this. I wanted to deal with it ASAP, so I ground of the rust and sprayed some primer followed by white paint. The metal is hidden behind the trim piece so no worries about cosmetics.

This rust really surprised me considering the lack of rust elsewhere on the car. I'd recommend you all to take a look at your car in this spot just in case.
