Default how to replace wheel cap

Hello everyone,

New member and sorry if this is a dumb question.

Long story short, I got new tires but when they changed the tires they broke one of the locking tabs of the wheel cap on my 2004. I ordered and received a new one from ebay but how do I put it on? Do I have to remove the lugnuts and put the cap in first? I tried putting it in with the lugnuts already in place but it wouldnt sit in all the way and I didn't want to force it. Thanks in advance.

They should just pry off with screw driver and then pop right back on regardless of lug nuts, wheel on or off.

Just give it a firm whack with the palm of your hand, it should snap right in.
