Default HID Lights

Hi. I was wondering if anyone had an experience with HID for GX470, interested to know what needs to be done, what kind of HID's, consequences if any? Any information and / or advise is welcomed and greatly appreciated.

Common mod, very easy to do. The light output is great, and It makes our trucks look much more updated. I chose 4300k bulbs as that's the closest temp/color to a factory HID bulb. I didn't want it to look cheap and aftermarket.

Don't buy any cheap aftermarket HID set on ebay it is made in china, it does not last long.
Go to here Theretrofitsouce.com, one of member in this forum recommended me to this site and i bought a set of H11 Morimoto 5000k with heavy duty relay, it already has been for 2 years but the color is still good as the 1st day. Good luck man!

That's exactly what I just ordered from them on Black Friday for headlights and fogs. Good to hear you're happy with them.

I found this website hard to pick for your vehicle vs hid depot. I have a 06 GX470 and couldn't find the fit kit.

All you need is an H11 bulb kit. It's not vehicle specific. Just bulb types. Can't beat Morimoto quality

While I agree with you on buying quality stuff, and TRS stuff is top notch, I have a set of chinese ballasts in my truck right now that are over 5 years old and still work great. In my younger days when money was more of an issue, I'd buy DDMtuning.com HID's kits that are literally shipped to you from china. I NEVER once had an issue with one of their bulbs or ballasts, and I've probably purchased 8 or 10 kits from them.

I'm backing this up too. My DDM Tuning HID kit has been from my old SC to my newer one, and has been working flawlessly for the past 5 years too. And even if it does break anytime soon, its got a lifetime warranty on it. It's not really a money issue for me though, I just know better. I used to sell HID's before they were "cool" and I can tell you made in Germany, made in USA; they're all still made in China. They're all generic looking with different cases, different boxes, different styles when they come out from the factory until any of your favorite brands start slapping their stickers on them. Then they give you a year or 2 warranty on your $150-200 HID kit set. Thanks, but no thanks.
