Default Weathertech Vent Visor owners chime in...

I've had in-channel vent visors before (not Weathertech) and never had a problem w/ the windows staying up. With these Weathertech visors it keeps triggering the auto-down function and it pushed my window towards the front of the GX. Has anyone else had any problems installing these.

I bought them through Amazon and requested a replacement so hopefully the new set will work.

Do they have double sided tape to keep them in place? Perhaps they were stuck slightly out of position putting pressure on the window when rolling up, triggering the sensor? Was this happening on just one window, or all of them?

The dual sided tape is only on the rear windows and those roll up fine. It's the front 2 that won't roll up. Right before the auto-up feature kicks the windows are pushed forward about 1/4" or so where I can see my tint line...which should be hidden by the trim.

I don't know if the in-channel lips are not cut properly or what...some people have sanded them down a few MM and it fixed the problem. I would try it but I don't want to waste $100+ if it doesn't work.

I've had my Weathertech for 3 years, no issues installing them. I think you mentioned that you raised the windows all the way up and let them "sit" overnight. That's the correct process, so maybe try it again. Good luck!

Yep, I let them for for over 24hrs. After a few hours last night I rolled the window up tighter and I thought they would be fine. Their "tips" about the auto-up / using your hands to push the window up and pushing the visor out while rolling the window up didn't work for me at all.

I removed them this afternoon and installed them again so I'll let them sit for another 24hrs. I doubt it'll work though, I think I got a defective pair. When I installed visors before they were always a little tight the first few days but they've never not allowed the window to fully roll up. And I've never read anything about them fitting so tight that they push the window forward the last 3-4" of it rolling up?

I use weathertech visors and after installing them, left all 4 windows up tight for 3 days. Have never had an issue with them being triggered as they go up

Sometimes on of the back windows will go back down with the auto up. No big deal it stays up with the manual mode. Front ones, never an issue
