Default Dimmer Illumination question ( pic attached)

Before I start to pick and poke! Is this suppose to illuminate? ...and if so does it use the same buld as the heated seat controls/*****?

edit: I could not resist! I think the answer is NO. I popped it out and there is no sign of a bulb

By the way, I just went for a drive and remembered your pic, and I notice my mirror settings switch is not illuminated, I am glad I saw your posting since I have 1 extra bulb, will pop the switch and change it.

Mine is burned out too, I figured it just didn't have a bulb. It is weird that they wouldn't illuminate the dimmer switch....

My gx470 is a 2004. Same does not illuminate. Another quirk is the drivers seat bulb warning light will flash if you don't putt on the belt. The manual says it should buzz as well as flash. The dealer spent all day trying to fix it then found out that even though the manual says it should buzz it does not in the 2004gx I have asked others on the forum with a 2004 gx470 and theres does not buzz either. Does your buzz?

Mine also just flashes no Buzz.

By the way, the hazard light switch on mine doesn't light up at all, any idea if the bulb is gone?

When I press my hazard switch it does not illuminate the turn signal indicators all blink indicating that the hazards are blinking. I don't think the switch has a bulb . No point for it to have it if its pressed you know the turn signals blink.

ohhhhhhhhhh snap! My haz bulb is out as well.

edit:

I just popped it out and replaced it with a spare that I had. It appears to be the same buld that I used for the heated seat control. I simply stripped the green tint off and its good to go. I was tempted to leave the green film on, but last I checked...Green & Red makes Brown

Thanks RC, as usual you go out of your way, thanks for the pic, looks like my bulb is out, that is what I was thinking and you confirmed it.

I will pull out the switch, I have an extra bulb left over, I think I will use it on the hazard light instead of mirror adjustments switch, I guess another trip to Radio Shack after Christmas.By the way the front strut looks great on your truck, I dont know why you are bottoming out, I have all 4 stock, and I tried to bottom out today and I cant seem to bottom out, curious why your truck is doing it, especially you have new rears and lately the fronts.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Not sure why I was bottoming out in the rear? Since I lifted my GX I'm no longer bottoming out after lifting the rear 1 1/2". It's smooth as butter now going over bumps and not harsh in the least bit. I can go as fast or as slow as I want...I even tried going over that deep dip by my house and I didn't bottom out, so I'm happy now, it's like a whole new GX!!

Im curious to know how many bulds are needed for the mirror switch. It seems it would need more than one. Holla Back
