All of these lights came on for no apparent reason. I check with computer based OBD reader, and I'm getting code P0049 (Turbo/Super Charger Turbine Overspeed). Weird code considering the lack of turbo or super charger on the GX. I cleared the codes, but all came back after a few miles of driving. Any idea what code P0049 is pointing to? My truck is 04 GX470 with 74,000 miles.
Not sure if I had that exact code, but I had those same lights occasionally come on in my '04 GX at around 100k miles.
Through some web/forum searches, I ended up replacing the brake switch. It took all of 10 minutes under the dash.
Are you SURE it wasn't code P0449 that you pulled off your truck? That would make a lot more sense, and a quick google of your code indicates it's a very common mistake to make.

Yes I'm sure, pulled it 3 times so far. It just doesn't make any sense. Maybe I should try pulling with another reader.
I think he means Brake Light switch [ Its directly attached to the top pivot of the brake pedal ] Not sure why that would trigger all of the lights.
Yes, I did mean brake light switch, and it is located where mrblister said.
VSC, TRAC systems all have to know that you've pushed on the brake pedal somehow, makes sense that it'd be via the brake light switch, since it's literally the first sensor/switch to know what you've done.
Again, this may or may not be your problem, as I never got an engine code, just the symptoms matched. Also, it's a cheap part to replace.
