Dac????

Default Dac????

My 04 gx has the dac when I turn it on the traction Controll light come on and it's like the front brakes anti lock start making alot of noise is that normal?

Yup, sounds like its breaking when it's braking. Sweet, huh?!

I think it only works in 4-Lo, but can't remember.

Just out of curiosity, what did you expect DAC should do?

You think DAC only works in 4-Lo? If thats what you actually meant to ask then no DAC works whenever you engage it with the push button. We live in Texas but in our trips to east TN ive used DAC to help get down some of those intense 13-16% grades without dropping it into 4-Lo.

I thought it was supposed to act like an engine brake not take over the service breaks of the car

My bad, it's not limited to 4-Lo. It appears to be limited to being in 1st gear.
