Tranny service
my concern would be this. the person doing the draining opened the plug, let it all fall out, then refilled 1.5qts. how much came out is the question, hence why i am suggesting to anyone doing this as a DIY capture the drain and measure it.
you could have drained 3qts and only put back 1.5, etc.

I just did the transmission service at local Toyota dealer yesterday, called 5-6 dealers around the area they all charge around $300. This dealer has a 15% coupon so OTD is $285. The service advisor said in order to flush out all the gunks, they use 12 quarts of WS ATF, the procedure is pretty much the same as alan553 listed, and they did a couple of test drives during the whole service, it took about 3.5 hours. BTW on the invoice it lists $11 for a quart of WS ATF, guess I should have ordered from Sewell (less than $7), oh well at least I don't have to worry about transmission service for a while.
