one of the problems I came across in the lexus gx is to remove the nut from the return cable and check the bolt for heat damage . if so your connect has come lost and the connection is heating up. your going to have to reconnect. if this happens when you move the connection before removing you may have a little play. the casing is plastic so it to may have been compromised. I put the same size bolt went all the way to the starter, than a (metal) washer than the connection, than enoughther washer than nut......to this day no more batt. light problem.
