Default All-Terrain Tire

I'm thinking about replacing the tires on my '08 GX with A/T. My top two choices are BFGoodrich T/A KO and General Grabber AT2. My biggest concern is how it will make the vehicle look. Does anyone have photos of a GX with A/T tires?

Thank you

BFGs are nice. Can't go wrong with those as I ran them on my T4R with no issues. I'm currently running Toyo Open Country ATs for a different look. It's another great AT tire that rides smooth, but either way, you're going to take a gas mileage hit due to the thicker/heavier construction.

In my eyes, the GX looks wrong with regular tires. It's complete mini-van soccermomish. ATs give it that extra rubber and aggressiveness without giving up the Lexus ride.

The ideal combo is to get wheels that can handle 285s for that steamroller look. You're going to want 8" wheels to handle that width as 7.5" is stretching it. I went with an aftermarket 18" wheel which also pushes the tires out flush with the fender for that perfect stance. What I've learned is that the GX has more wheel well room than the 4th Gen T4R. I was rubbing with even 275s. No sweat for its richer cousin.

I have zero rubbing, full lock hitting a dip, forward and backwards. I love it.

Your GX looks are very good, I was thinking to get

Rim Brand: BALLISTIC OFF ROAD Rim Diameter: 18
Bolt Pattern: 6X5.5, 6X139.7
Rim Width: 9
Number of Bolts: 6

with Nitto Dune Grappler Tires 285/65R18.

Please let me know if this setup will work on my 2007 -GX470.
My email is (singhra@coned.com)

Thank you.

I have no idea what fits or not as I don't even know the offsets on my aftermarket wheels. What I can share with you is that I run 285/60/18s and the wheel width is 8".

I have the General Grabber AT2's on my 03 GMC Z71. They are great. I chose them over the BFG's for the price point and warranty. I have had them for a 2 years now and still holding up just fine. Very good off-road also. They probably look good on the GX.

No but it is close enough to stock diameter that the diff in readout is nominal. My speedo actually might be more accurate!

Go 285s on 18s. Looks a lot meaner.
