Does anyone think the GXX470 will sell as much as the RX or LX?

I get the feeling it's not going to be very popular.

 

I think it's obvious that it will sell very well. SUV's are the most popular segment right now. The RX is the best selling Lexus ever and I imagine the LX does pretty well even considering it's very high price tag and behemoth size.

To answer your question, hell yes I think it will sell well. Are you kidding? As I understand it, there hasn't been such long waiting lists for a Lexus vehicle since the new SC debut. Every Lexus dealer in my area has a waiting list with at least 30 people on it.

IMO it's the perfect "in between" vehicle . It fills the perfect nitch for a whole lot of folks. I darn near bought an Acura MDX because I wasn't willing to spend 70 grand for an LX that was too big, too expensive and IMO not all that great looking.

The GX on the other hand, has the third row seating that growing families need, it is spectacular looking, and it's priced attractively. It's gonna be a block buster baby. You can bet not only will they be popular, they will be very hard to get for awhile. I'm just glad I got on the waiting list early...

 

That will depend on the similarity between the GX and the new 4 runner. From what I have heard, they should only be $6-8K different in price (Limited) so we will see!
