Default DVD and Backup Camera.

Do all '07's have the backup camera... and allow you to play DVD's in the changer?

On playing DVDs in the changer- you have to have the parking brake engaged to play them on the NAV screen. This is without the rear entertainment package.

Just got 'The Prestigious Society "plug and play" Navigation and Video Enhancement Module' today.

Going to install soon in to 2007 GX470. I will take picture if anyone wants to see the process.

Prestigious Society does NOT show a module for the GX 470.

I think Coastal Tech Lockpick is the only option:

Looks like only the GX460? I wonder why they didn't include the GX470?

Yes, you are both right they do not have GX470 listed. I asked them the reason and here was there answer:

Dear Nick,

Thank you very much for your inquiry. There is no other Lexus application that is compatible with the 2007 GX470. We actually have built a kit for GX470 but is looking for a GX to test fit. Will you be interested to be our test target? For test target, we offer special price at $200 per unit plus $15 shipping compare to our retail price of $349.49. If the module does not work as advertised, you are free to return the module of course and we will provide you a full refund including the $15 shipping cost.

Please let us know if you are interested.

Sincerely yours,

Mark

Sorry, I kinda forgot. That is why it is not listed.

how much different could it be compared to other Lexus Products? Does the RX, LX, ES, GS & LS use different NAV, BL, RES systems?

I have an 04 with ML/NAV, I didnt know you could play a DVD through the NAV unit. Where do you insert a DVD movie and how would it play?

From reading the Nav Supplement manual I think the car had to have the rear seat entertainment package. The manual has a section where it shows a photo of the DVD player (installed in the center console storage bin) and shows screen shots of the Nav screen with DVD info. My GX doesn't have the rear seat system so I'm just going on the manual - does yours have the DVD player & rear seat system?
