Appreciable difference between 2006 and 2007?
Hi everyone,
I'm just about to buy my first GX, a fully-loaded 2006 model. I've seen some 2007s available for a bit more, but higher miles than the '06 I'm getting. I'm wondering if there's really much of a difference between the two model years, however.
Any input would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

Completely weird day today! Allow me to elaborate:
I found a great deal on a black 06 GX470, but it was located at a Lexus dealership in Van Nuys, CA. Having negotiated everything over the phone, the deal was contingent upon my flying out today to inspect, test drive and take delivery of it - and then I'd drive it home to Arizona.
My wife had specifically asked the sales guy and the sales manager if there were any noticeable dings, dents, scratches or other blemishes on the car anywhere. We were assured it was in pristine condition, and so off I went to California.
Upon arrival, I immediately noticed that not only was the car NOT clean inside, it had THREE half-dollar-sized marks on the hood. There were very noticeable swirl marks all around the hood, where someone had labored in vain to get them out.
The salesman told me, "Well, it's an '06 - it can't be in showroom condition!" Checking further with one of their quality-assurance guys, the substance turned out to be EGG! Someone had EGGED THE CAR and the previous owner let it eat through the clearcoat!
The sales guy? He kept reminding me it was an '06 and wouldn't be perfect, and besides - I "was practically robbing them" by getting it for the price they'd agreed upon.
To their credit, the sales manager offered to repaint the whole hood for me, but it wouldn't be ready for 24 hours. I politely declined and flew home.
Two hours later, I found a 2007 with fewer miles (44k) and EXACTLY the color I wanted (Pearl White) newly-listed at Scottsdale Lexus for $41,900. I got 'em down to $34,250 and it's in my driveway as we speak!!!
So thank you all for the clarification, but in the end it turned out I got the '07 anyway!

I've had mine for less than 24 hours and each time I've driven it, I've been more and more amazed at the quality and feel of the GX470. My previous daily driver was no slouch, an '03 4Runner SR5, but the GX is just in a completely different class entirely, IMHO.
I plan on owning this beauty for at least the next 5-6 years, and look forward to comparing notes and best-practices with the rest of the GX crew here!
