Default New Owner/Member here!

Well, finally bought the 2006 GX470 for my wife. Thanks for the replies to an earlier post.

Still getting to know all the ins and outs. This forum seems to be an excellent resource. I plan on the new DVD for the navigation. Only thing I could not figure out so far was an odd message on the DVD screen in the rear. Something about pushing source that does not go away with an OK in the lower right corner. Hmm...

She is very please by the way. Thanks.

put it in park, pull the park brake, and hit disc (below the tape deck) to get the video on the nav screen, then hit the ok button from there. Otherwise you've got to use the RSES remote to get it to go away. Battery was dead in my remote, had to figure the work around for a few days until I could replace the battery.

Thanks! I replaced the battery and it worked but that is certainly handy.

We are under a Blizzard warning and the new GX is not going out to play in the snow. (I actually want to but no way do I trust other drivers)

Here she is, safe in the garage/workshop.

Sweet exterior color! I assume it's grey inside, which is my favorite int / ext color combo.

Any upgrades planned?! I'm too "scared" to do the HIDs from xenondepot (for no good reason really with all the positive feedback they get on this board), but think I'll grow a pair one day. How about iPod or XM integration? Wheels?

Congrats.

Thanks. The Ipod integration sounds good but I have not heard of that yet. Will have to research it? I heard about the HID's but am not sure the difference it makes frankly.

We are looking to change to custom wheels as well. Possibly with a bit larger or wider tires. I read a but about the FJ wheels but am not sure what to go with. Any input would be welcome.
