High/Low Shift Vibration

We have a new 2009 GX. We noticed the 4WD high/neutral/low shift vibrates.
The dealer says it's "normal" because it's attached to the transfer case.
Any comments?:

Normal.

Without the padding inside the shifter boot, it'd rattle like a mother.

very normal. it is a direct extension of the transfer case into the cabin.
