It is really interesting that why some of Car names more like the alpha numeric soups. Looks like the manufacturers are ditching the emotion stirring "buy"factor names in favours of numbers and letters like X and L. There was this research that the letters X,Z,S,T and R have positive connotations and also sound good.
There could be very handful in the global market.

 

Could it also possibly be that because its easier to associate a name to a manufacturer?

If someone says Camry you know its Toyota, but if some says something like GX470 then they might think its a VW, BMW, Mercedes, etc.
