I know there is a post here on how to do it, I used the info for the radio repairs on mine, but I feel I need to add to it.

I had the center console out ( where the gear shifter is ) and I unplugged the wired harness there. I had dvd on the front screen. I was wondering if you new which wire it was it looks a lot easier to work with those wires than the dash. I think you could even have a toggle switch hidden between the seat so Lexus doesn't undo your mod.
