Check A/C ??? Climate Control
Hello,
Please advise what is the "Check A/C" means on Nav board?
When I am loooking on Nav Screen the A/C button is blinking and not steady and the "Check Air Conditioner" text comes on screen periodically.
I would like to know if anything serious or I can fix it DIY before taking thi to the dealer.
Thank you!!!

I think it means you have an error code in the AC system. You need to pull the code and see what it is or you can reset it and see if it comes back.

Thank you very much. I'll try to get the error code and let you know.

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins and see if the code resets.
I found this for a Toyota Highlander, it seems like the problem is that the computer doesnt detect the right rpm from the AC compressor.

Just take it to a Lexus dealer and have them Diag it for say 50-100 bucks and then let you know what the repair will be, simple as that!!

Phily do you get the warning flashing at about 1 second interval, check what is the drop on the RPM when the AC is on, while the rear ac off. if the engine rpm is above 450-650 then you have the following areas as the trouble. check the Compressor drive belt, the harness connector between the ECM( which is below the glove compartment and the ac amplifier, and the harness between the ecm and the compressor lock sensor.. Sometime when the compressor belt tension is loose, you will have the warning, maybe you need to adjust the belt tension. And sometime you may have the Ac amplifier assy blown, this could be a replacement of the unit. This job only a dealer or a experienced ac mechanic could fix this job.
