Goodbye GS, Hello GX!

Greetings!
Said good bye to my beloved 99 GS300 a few months ago and just bought a 05 GX470.
I thought I'd come here, introduce myself, and also show my appreciation since I picked up so much information from this forum.

I researched for a couple of weeks or so and decided on a 05 Silver GX470 with sport package.
Took me over two months to find exactly what I was looking for but I finally found my baby in Thousand Oaks, CA.

As soon as I picked it up, I changed the tail lights and installed the HIDs.

I LOVE THIS TRUCK!!!

I'm sure I'll be here very often now, I thank you all for spilling your knowledge here for everyone else to pick up and I hope to contribute here in the future wherever I can.

Nice. You got the sport package with KDSS - one of the few who have it, so enjoy. Were the tail lights hard to put on? I just my 06 last week and would like to change those out.

Where'd you get the newer tail lights from? Dealership?

The chrome strip you get it as tape roll. And you can cut as the length required.

Ok what I meant was No offence to the mod you carriend out but just to avoid spending on your dollars at this global economic crisis, When your rear window glass is good enough, you have alternative and that is the rear window glass which was showing a chrome strip, , And they are available, as broad strips and also narrow strip . I have attached a sample of the strips. With regards to the chrome door handles, yes sewell has them too.

This is how the broad strip looks, I am sure it will look better. I plan to use this iso the thinner one. Will post on my next mail the rear look of the GX.
