Default Rear Break Pad Replacement

Hi, everyone. I just joined CL after purchasing 04 GX470. It's been a great experience.

I recently had 60K service done and was told that the rear break pads needed to be replaced. Has anyone done this job yourself? If so, can you please share your experience with me and anything that I need to watch for while I do it?

Thanks for your help!

resurface the rotors to remove any hot spots or grooves. buy the pads from the dealer and switch over all shims. standard automotive know-how is all you need.
