Defn stay with the Viper (DEI) product line. I have had a 571 (I think) for almost 4 years and no problems at all. The main function I enjoy is the fact that mine is two way. Meaning, when I activate it, I get a signal back to my key fob that tells me it started. That is a GREAT feature to have!

The other BIG thing to consider before you have it installed is what do you want it to do when the car starts as it relates to the lights? I highly recommend you tell your installer you want the parking lights to come on but NOT flash! By default, most will have them flash. It is very annoying to see flashing lights all the time while your truck is warming up or cooling off!

I will try to upload my manual so you can see some of the features. If you have any other questions, post away!

Are the remotes for these units small? Are they easily added to the car key chain?

Check this out , no need to carry that matchbox under your keychain along with the rest, This one comes with the Iphone App. And it is Viper. Sitting miles away you can start your car.Get the AC on. What else do you want.

it sounds good. I wonder how hard this would be to install.

i'm still on the fence concerning the stellar remote start. apparently i'd have to get a transponder bypass and although it isn't expensive i barely have any time to do the install. i dunno.......

I asked two dealers about remote start. One dealer did an after-market install at the dealership with a cost of around $600. The Viper cost me around $375.

Works great and is nice to have here in New England.
Great price. I live in MA as well, Saugus to be exact, Where is this place?
