Hey everyone, so it appears the people that owned my truck before did not take the best care of it when it comes to constantly washing. So that being said the chrome strip on the tailgate above the livense plate is full of little what looks like rust or water spot circles that I cannot get off. I have tried using chrome polish, trim polish, etc to no avail. I also have the same issue with the front of the truck on the grille. Does anyone have any suggestions or if I should just replace the parts?

I picked up a new '08 GX a couple of weeks ago and that chrome part above the license plate had the same water stains as well. But the rest looks awesome. They added more chrome from door handles, roof rack to speakers.

 

Sounds like hard water spots. Try using straight vinegar or a clay bar. But using a clay bar on the front grill would be a pita.
