Default Ride Height sensor, FYI

Hey guys, I took My 2003 in today to have the alignment fixed. The toe was out after the BUBBLED wheels were replaced. The tech had me go for a ride with him so I could explain that the truck was pulling to the left and the new tires were starting to feather on the edge. While we were out I asked him about the poor ride AFTER the drive shaft and such were replaced and he said that the 2 rided sensors probably were not ADJUSTED after the fix. I did not realize that a sensor could be adjusted. However he reprogramed the sensors to ride higher in all modes. As I was driving the truck home it felt like a new vehicle. I was experiencing the bottoming out over speed bumps and backing out of my driveway. Now the problem is gone. What a difference.

Thanks
JGX

I have an 03 with the exact miles you have and this info is good to know. I have also noticed a slight pull to the right the last few months. I'll ask next time its in for service... Thanks for the info!

Has anyone else had this done? This is good info, just wondering if we need to go to the dealer to have this done and what they charge for something like this? I had the driveshaft done a few months ago and suffering from this problem as well. Thanks for the help!

not to revive an old topic but thought it might help others...

Last week when making a sharp left turn on dry pavement, my GX's VSC and diff lock lights began flashing. Everything tightened up, as it should, while try to turn the wheels on dry pavement w/ front diff engaging. Lights turned themselves off after a few seconds and just figured it was a weird quirk and maybe I took it a little to fast and kicked a sensor on. Next AM when I jumped in the GX, I felt (being on level ground) the drivers seat seemed unusually high. Started it up and VSC and diff lights began flashing again but shut off after 30 sec or so

Anyhow, fast forward to today...
Took GX in for some 60K maint and mentioned incident to SA. He called a few hours later and told me right rear height sensor was "partially" (?) frozen and this caused the incident. They replaced both sides at no charge under my CPO warranty. Bottom line, ride home was vastly improved.

Bad news though... in spite of the 33K I have on my Duncrap tires, they estimate my tread has 60% life left. I can't wait to get ride of them but it looks like I have a bit to go

New to clublexus, hate being redundant.. but please let me recap. When taking my GX to get the clunk fixed, I need to be sure to have the ride sensors reset? Also, approaching 60K.. anything else to bring up while i'm there? thanks..

afast1-
Posting the same question in two different threads makes it harder for people to answer you. Plus it's harder for you to then find the answer as well as on others further down the road.

Check your other post on the topic as I posted the p/n for you. Good luck!

very easy just a few bolts I think anyone could do this adjustment is a slide rod you can see where old ones used to be put new ones same place then you can adjust a little at a time. very common these will sieze up general rule of thum if truck goes up and wioll not come down left sensor bad if goes down and will not come u[p right sensor bad. I recommend to replace both after 4 years just to be sure they do not seize up at wrong time like on a trip

So the tech set the sensors to artificially register a higher ride setting at each of the settings? Am I reading this correctly?
