Hi,

I have a GX470 2004, the six disc changer is no longer recognize all six CDs I put in. It can only see disc #6. I my changer broken or I did something wrong. I try with all original cdrom. The truck is still under warranty. Will the dealer charge to fix it. Please advice.

if truck is still under warranty then there won't be any charge. That is of course assuming you did nothing to cause it to stop working (i.e. splice the wiring harness for something aftermkt or feed it an LP instead of a CD). Even then they still might cover depending on how persuasive you are Are you sure the other discs aren't in upside down? What happens if you put one of the "unrecognizable" CDs into slot 6?

 

If I put the unrecognized disc into #6, it will play and the disc was on slot6 will not recognized on other slots. BTW, I did not do any mod, the changer just suddenly only working on slot6

i've had similar problem with my cd changer...it would play well one day and when i try to forward to the next song it errors out and wouldn't read other discs.

i took it to the dealer and they replaced it, no questions asked. mine is still under warranty and since yours is too...then you should have no worries...make the appointment and they will take care of you!

You in CA, southern? Which dealer do you go to?

 

I am in Northern CA, my dealer is Magnussen Lexus. I'll try it tomorrow
