Default Rear spoiler function?

Is it for looks or does it really do something?

It does something for the looks.

It is designed to hold snow on the roof so it comes crashing down on you when you open the door.

All kidding aside, I think it is for show not snow.

Default Where do I find the steps to over ride the GPS system.

I'm looking for steps to overide the GPS system so I can put the address in the GPS while driving and watch movies while I'm on the passenger seats. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Just kiddin - search the archives here - there is plenty of info on this topic. You'll need to know what version NAV you have to go down the right path.

Good luck, but personally, I'd advise against enabling DVD playback to the front NAV screen while moving. Aside from the legal issue, it's a serious safety hazard. JM2C

It keeps the tail end firmly planted when I'm chasing down Cayenne Turbos on the autobahn (hey I can fantasize, can't I? )

it makes the GX more aerodynamic thereby tremendously improving GX mileage and performance!
at least that's how i justified spending money and installing one on mine... hey you can justify it the way you want it. just wanted to share you mine. encouraged me to DIY it and spend one saturday afternoon installing it
kidding aside... i did mine for looks. speaking of which... have anyone of you guys spray painted (RED) the led cover on it... thinking of doing mine. any ideas?

I did read the other day (not remembering which car) that extending the roofline via a spoiler can reduce drag. I think the gx spoiler directs some air onto the rear window to clear off the rain and gunk. Because of this, my theory is that it probably doesn't qualify as a drag-reducing device

I still want one, but I don't think I can get over the angst of drilling holes in my truck.
