Nav disk update
Okay folks,
Please forgive my ignorance, but I can't get the search results to work properly on CL. Does anyone have the link on replacing your nav disk?
TIA.
Never mind, I guess things are really that easy. Following steps in case anyone cares:
So, sounds to me like the instructions are:
1. turn on car
2. open trunk and locate dvd player
3. eject old dvd
4. insert new dvd
5. leave car on while dvd updates ecu

How do you know? I know my 2003 GX takes the Gen 2/3 DVD, but is there a part number for the latest software?
I just looked at a ton of them on e-bay, and wasn't confident enough to buy one. I don't want to end up with the same version I already have.

Does anyone know if the Gen 2-3 v6.1 update expand on the coverage outside of major cities? What I mean is, will you get point-to-point guidance in towns that have "full coverage" (the ones with a "Y" next to their names), or are we still stuck with major roads only? I hope it is improved. My PDA gives me point-to-point voice guidance and the maps and software are on an SD card.
