Default Lockpick vs. SLI

I search the forum but wound up with more questions than answers. I purchased the Viastech SLI for my GX for a 30g Ipod. I am looking to also purchase coastaltech ultimate lockpick. Can they be installed together and will they work together? I have the factory install RSES.
Has anyone tried the Ultimate IPOD interface on thier GX? I see I can kill 2 birds from 1 vendor so to speak, input is much appreciated.

I have both installed in my 06 and they do get along. I do not have RSES, so I don't know if that will be an issue. I use the words "seem" or "seems" often because my experience may be isolated to my setup. Having said that, this is what seems to be the deal:
  • If you have the "I agree" button bypass on your SLI, disable that feature and let the Ultimate do it. It is quicker and more reliable even if you immediately throw the car in reverse and force the rear camera screen after start up.
  • The SLI or Ipod seem to get lost and do not show titles or allow track change now and then. Usually clears up next start up.
  • The Ultimate seems to effect the steering wheel component selection button operation, again - not a big deal and may not be an issue with RSES.

I need to experiment more, but here is one more bug note if you use the calendar feature:
  • The Ultimate seems to push the "Do not display this memo again" button right after bypassing the "I agree" button. Perhaps the input overlaps into the memo alert screen. So if you are not watching the screen and miss it, you will not see the memo alert again. Nice "feature".

I am happy with my setup. The Ultimates ability to override all features including Bluetooth, far out weighs the occasional bugs. Good Luck.

I have been happy with the setup,
