I know we all know that the GX and the Prado are pretty much the same SUV...just thought I would share this link. Anyone know what the HP output is for this TD?

Edit: Whats up with that third leg mirror sticking out of the front?
Tom
That's the 1KD-FTV 3 liter, 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine. IIRC, output is in the ballpark of 180-200hp, max torque (about 2/3 of the torqure of the LX's V8) is reached at only 1200 rpm's, fuel economy is ~24mpg. Performance (i.e., acceleration) will be more along the lines of the 4 liter V6 in the 4runner (less hp, but about same torque, I think).
The third leg mirror appears to be designed for restricted sight intersections. I'm thinking it would be useful for pulling out of a narrow alley onto the street. My guess anyway.
Boy, that 3rd mirror thing sure ruins the looks of the vehicle. I hope the USA doesn't get any crazy ideas and decide to make that mirror thing mandatory.
Gee, seems replies are flying in quicker then I can adjust fire on my mirror comment. I was writing my post while G Man ended the mystery. Anyway, how about the little white box at the front licence mount, what is it?

I do recall seeing those fugly little mirrors in a lot of pictures of Japanese-spec vehicles.
But come on, you know you all secretly want to put a couple on your cars.
