is there any way i could maybe get a whole new navi system.. would it just be the brain box and could i keep the display the same maybe
some of the things i want
bluetooth
sat radio, mp3 plug
the new ones have it i dont see why any of the connectors should be different it would be fun to try out and maybe get a how to going if its simple enough to just change the brains out

 

It might cost you arm and a leg to do that..... im sure lexus will charge you a lot even just for the brain...

 

For sure the connectors(and the connections in them) could (and do) change between generations.

In fact, I think there was already "proof" they changed, as in the (long) post on DVD Overide, people with different Gen systems where claiming they couldn't find the same wires in the same places to make the hacks.
