Nav Audio Question

Nav Audio Question

Hey guys,

Lame question but can you operate the nav using voice or only using the touchscreen menu? For example, can I say restaurant, type of food and will the nav list the restaurants? TIA for any help.

Hi Bat,

You can but it is a royal "pain" the GX doesn't understand half of the commands I tell it, and once I got upset and spoke chinese and the NAV started plotting out the nearest gas stations.

There was a thread form the GS or IS forum that listed ALL of the available voicecommands, if I come across it again, I'll post it here...

In defense of the Lexus system, I've yet to find any navigation system that understands spoken words very well. All of them misinterpret what you are looking for.
