I live in Florida and may have a need someday to siphon gas from the GX to use in the generator. I fixed a long hose with a squeeze bulb but found that there is something that doesn't allow the hose to enter the tank. Any ideas?

I've actually tried to siphon gas from my GS the last two years in a row just before a car show. Like you say, there is something blocking the tube from getting into the tank. I've purchased three different siphon devices, worked on it for many hours and none of them worked.

Find a neighbor's car or like pablo suggests, stock up every year with a fresh 5 gal container or two.
