Default Tire Pressure Sensor – Informational Only

2nd week into our new 04’ GX. Noticed the tire pressure monitor blinking on the dashboard. So naturally, I checked my owners manual and it stated I check for tire pressure on all 4 tires (including the spare).

Anyway, tire pressure all checked out ok. Light was still blinking and manual stated it could be a malfunction. I took it back to the dealership and it turns out there is a new switch just below the steering wheel column that could be set to the SW position which will start/stop the sensor. I think my wife must have accidentally tripped the switch

Short story, felt really stupeed when the tech game out and showed me this. Funny thing is there is no mention on this in the owners manual. Drove back home happy!!

Can someone post a pic of that switch under the steering column? I couldn’t find it.

Post #9 in this thread has a pic:

Ignore the thread title btw. That switch lets you change between two sets of sensors, and does not do a "reset"

Fyi there is a way of making the light go off permanently. I swapped wheels so my wheel sensors are not programed and I see no need to pay 100 bucks to have them program it. I bypassed my light.
