does anyone know if it is possible to reprogram the E/T display to restart or reset automatically. Currently it keeps adding time while the engine is running. Whereas I would like it to reset automatically with each start and stop of the ignition.

I was completely perplexed by the E/T display on my GX, because in my wife's RX it does reset/restart automatically. I was disappointed (to say the least) when I noticed that the one in my GX was a perpetual E/T clock. I'll try to find out from wifey's co-workers if it is possible to change.

 

I like the fact that it doesn't reset. During long trips we stop and rest stops, restaurants, certainly gas stations. I like to know how much road time we've endured throughout the trip. If the unit keeps resetting then 99% of the time you'll lose the E/T before you had a chance to write it down.

Ideally the best solution is to use what they have on the GS. An entire trip computer that logs fuel consumption by date, mpg by date but also has these other nice stats by date.
