Any RX Owners driven a GX 470?
I did a search and came up with no comparison here.
I was thinking about getting a GX470 for the extra room and to start over no modding as I have done with my RX. Get away from that hole car modding thing.
Anyone here have any experience with the GX470? Problems in comparison? etc. etc. I will do some actual list comparisons but that really does not say allot but a list.

I own both, wife has had a RX 330 since 04 new and I just bought a 08 GX 470. The few times wife has used it she commented that she felt like she was very low to the ground when she got back in her car.
As to gas mileage its really not that big a difference,at least not enough to change you mind about a GX .I think she gets about 22-23 in the RX and so far I get 17-18mpg in the GX (premium gas in that one).
Ride is completely different, much more comfortable in the GX then the RX,which is not bad but the nowhere near as solid and quiet as my GX.

There are some I4 engine 4Runners (2WD only) as well with the current generation. There has not been a V8 the last few years. Believe it currently is V6 only for 2013 as well.

"All GX production has occurred at the Tahara plant in Japan, alongside the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado. In fact, both generations of the GX have been heavily based on the Prado, with updated frontal styling to better integrate with the Lexus design language."
From wikipedia.
They do drive/handle differently. Much more space too!
