anyone know where i can get a chrome exhaust tip fo rmy gx470

 

Been a couple post on this with pictures about 6 months ago. Midas has them, weld-ons, for around 30 bucks.

 

I was actually trying to find out if the RX330 tip fits. I'll have to remind the wife she was supposed to get that info for me from one of the techs.

 

Went to the Toyota dealership this past weekend... a chrome tip (Valor-304 stainless) for the 2003-2004 4Runner, which Toyota offers as an accessory, costs around $55.00. Just a suggestion.

 

I got one from walmart for $12+. And it fits perfectly on the GX. I'll take a pic of it later in the evening. Actually it looks and feels better than the one comes with my Acura.

 

AutoZone has tons of chrome tips, the Lexus dealer should have the same Valor Chrome tip as Toyota but added premium for lexus is a plus

Is this tip welded on or is it just bolted on?

 

It's been fixed using three bolts.

 

Ummmm...how about these? I got these for $35 each for my GS.

It's a stainless chromed tip with some heat proof (?) stuff inside the tip. Fits anything from 1 3/4" to 2 1/2" pipe. If the LX has a 2 1.2" pipe as the GX, then it should fit. I'll see if I can find the sticker from the package to get more info.

 

My parts guys at Lexus of Manhattan just told me they got a parts bulletin from Lexus and chrome tips(I am assuming gold for gold package folks as well) for the GX will be available soon. In the meantime, I will be checking to see if the RX pipe fits (should arrive next week), but something tells me if they are making a separate one it won't.

 

Lexus has released a chrome exhaust tip for the GX 470.

PTS18-89040 - List price around $60

Its currently packaged as a 4Runner part, but works on the GX.
