Rear Air Spring Feedback
Hi
I have 2007 GX470 176K, want to replace the rear air spring, I want to get feedback on the aftermarket on how long you guys have it, does it feel different that OEM air spring, any problems on installing it ? what brand it is ?
Will appreciate all the feedback, or just better off get OEM air spring. I just installed front OEM front shocks and rear KYB adjustable ( The onefor toyota prado ), Thank you

Consider air bag delete? It's cheaper in the long run and parts are readily available. You can run 4th gen 4R or for a slight lift with the 5 gen 4R, all you need is the bottom adapter IIRC. If not, any lift coil springs for the 4/5G 4R will work as well, as long as you have the bottom adapter for the coil spring.

Arnott air. My set is many years old and lots of miles. There's a write-up somewhere here on CL.
Easy to install, and they are super tough because they are technically made for box trucks. If you do get them, the OEM shroud does not fit and is not needed.
If you are installing new airbags, you should clean out the air solenoid box, it gets all dusty dirty inside.
With std springs you cannot use the up/down feature to get hitch ball into trailer socket. I just back up with camera, see the ball get under trailer, up the air, lock the ball, return height back to normal.
Unless I can find working oem replacement shocks, I will likely install a std set in rear, which means no adjusting ride stiffness.

Purchased a pair of maXpeedingrods when mine went out. They were cheap, and had next day delivery as mine failed 2 days before having to tow a trailer, so I needed something quick. Got them delivered then installed 2hrs after delivery. They've been going strong for over 6 months and about 8k miles. Already found a pair of springs to delete the airbags when they fail, so I'm now waiting to see how long the cheap bags will last.
I did the bag delete using this kit
which is no longer available, but looks to have been replaced with this one
