My '08 GX470 has been running great. Replaced the front wheel bearings, power steering pump and a couple hoses in the power steering system recently. No cooling issues (it was near 100F outside), no idling issues, normal power on acceleration. Went on a short road trip overnight. This morning while parked in shade and idling (about 10-15 minutes) with both AC's running the three VSC dash lights came on as did the red airbag light which I've never seen come on before. The VSC lights I've delt with before (and there were codes at that time). The factory head unit that has the AC controls and maps, etc. glitched out and the screen was black with lines going across it when the maps were up but if you selected the AC button, the screen worked fine. I've got a Veep OBD reader plugged in fulltime and use OBD Fusion app which according to it there are no codes being thrown and everything is operating within spec. Drove it back home 2+ hours, running great. Got home, unloaded, went to lock it with the remote and it won't lock the doors or work the alarm. Remote battery was changed about 2 months ago and I put a new yellow top Optima in the truck about 3 months ago. Red light on remote lights up like normal and worked just fine in the morning before heading out. Can't lock the doors from either the front driver or front passenger door lock buttons with the vehicle off and using the key in driver's door will only lock and unlock the driver's door. I have checked all fuses under the hood and inside below steering column and none that have a clear viewing window are blown. Not sure about the solid color ones but they don't look burnt or discolored in any way. Anyone have any suggestions or had any of these issues happen before? Any help is appreciated.

Update: I was able to pull codes today using the advanced reader options in the OBD Fusion app.
C1223 - ABS control system malfunction
C1231 - steering angle sensor
U0073 - control module communication Bus OFF
U0123 - lost communication with yaw rate sensor module
U0124 - lost communication with lateral acceleration sensor module
U0126 - lost communication with steering angle sensor module
B1794 - occupant classification ECU battery positive line open
B1242 - wireless door lock tuner circuit
B1269 - theft deterrent ECU communication stop
B1150 - occupant classification system malfunction

 

That's a lot of codes

Id get another OBDii reader to pull codes. Go to your local Batteries Plus or local indy shop.

 

That's almost certainly a CAN bus problem (all the "lost communication" messages)
But first - charge the battery. Or at least check the voltage. Many computer freakouts are from low voltage.

I don't believe the wiring diagrams that are stickied at the top of the forum have the CAN bus layout. You will likely need to get a subscription to TIS.
