This clunking thing has happened once in a 1000 miles. How often is it happening to you? I agree it's a pain, but is it really that big of a deal? My understanding is that the GX is not the only model with this problem, that it affects the RX, LX and even some of the ES and GS. At least that's what I see when I search for "clunk" on this forum, posts coming up in the GS/ES/LX/RX section anyway.

No, mine is not an isolated problem. It happened 95% of the time when I stop and again when I release the brake. The only time it does not do it is if a stop, go and then have to do a gentle short stop and go again like in inching forward otherwise it does it ALL THE TIME.
