Default 2008 suspension update time need input

Hello y'all!

My 2008 GX470 with 202k kms/126k miles needs a suspension update. If possible, I would like to keep it at stock height and have the feeling of stock ride. I'm ok with losing the adjustable shocks but would be nice(but not essential) to keep the airbags for load levelling/height adjustment. What scares me is OEM prices so if I could avoid OEM shocks that would be great! So many options I wanted to get some advice. Would it work to get Bilstein 4600s and update the airbags with new OEM ones? Other thoughts? I'm open to any suggestions and would appreciate your input!

Cheers

If you want to keep cost down and maintain OEM ride and airbags, I’d recommend getting Arnott airbags, and replace rear shocks with 4th gen 4Runner V8 rear shocks. They’re not expensive at all.

Thanks! I’ll look into both options. If I went with this approach to get no dash lights I would just remove the fuse in the cabin for the suspension and leave the fuses in the engine bay to keep the airbags running?

I put in Bilstein 5100's and I am happy with it.

You won’t get any lights switching to static shocks instead of the OEM adjustable shocks.
