Finished my K&N intake on my Gs350
I just finished my K&N intake just wanted to say a few things about my installation. first off.... They didn't give me enough edge trim to cover my heat shield. 2nd.... the bolts, washers, and connecting brace were bent... so I had to hammer them back into place. Other then that the install step by step went well. Oh after disconnecting the battery for 2 hours it reset my auto window up and down my memory chair and previous destination points. To fix the auto window up and down just simply go to each window and press the button to let the window go fully down then up, then you have full control again thru your driver side. When i started my car it turned on and off right away so I was scared but turned it on again and everything seems to be working ok.. Felt my car to be a little more shacky... much more louder a lil more hp... less torque..

I've always wondered why one would need to disconnect the battery to install an intake. I figured that the ECU would be smart enough to adjust/learn if the airflow has been altered or changed w/ a CAI. I remember when I installed the K&N drop-in filter and the mpg reading on the vehicle went askewed for a good 2 weeks (was getting 23-24 mpg on highway driving). After that 2 weeks, the avg started showing much better (28-30 mpg on highway driving). To me, the ECU relearned itself and adjusted accordingly w/ the new filter.
