i have my dashboard rattling and my brakes were squeaking also. took it to lexus got my dashboard worked on and now not only it rattles i am hearing weird noises inside like something clicking or what ever the hell is going on in there. the rattle is much better than before, but i am going back in next week.
according to the brakes there is nothing you can do about it because they told me its a common problem with the brakes squeaking and that lexus is working on another pair of brakes. my brakes stopped squeaking on its own...

the rattles are worse in the cold, get them fixed now while they are easier to demonstrate.

I have several issues with my 08 GS350

1. Extreme dust from brakes
Fixed by replacing the dustless brake pads on my first 1000 mile checkup

2. Front door passenger rattles/creaks noise
fixed once couple months ago by insulating door panel and replacing some clips. Unfortunately the rattles/creaks came back. Took my car in a week ago and test drove car with shop foreman. Foreman inspected the door panel and decided to replace the whole door panel which is back order. Should be here in a week.

3. SunRoof rattles.
Fixed a week ago. Sunroof was readjusted, rubber on the rail was lubricated and rattle went away.

4. Push start button. I needed to push the start button a couple of times, before my car starts.
Solution: push start button assembly replaced.

Every problem the dealership was very friendly and helpfull to resolve the problems. Two Thumps up to LONGO LEXUS

I live in AZ and still heard the dash rattle and had it repaired. I had issues with the console creaking so they removed the wood piece on top and lined the edges with thin felt tape. no more creaks. I havent heard the squeeking brakes to much though. I think I have heard it twice as I was backing up. Crossing my fingers

I just had my GS last week. And after dropping my car off at the dealership this morning for a warranty on the power steering, I ask for the service history of the car.

Issues my car previously went through under PO, but taken care of by warranty were:

1. Noisy side view mirrors
2. Side view mirror stopped working
3. Rear view mirror defective (discoloration and no reflection on some areas of the glass)
4. CD/DVD player stopped reading CDs

Before buying the car:
1. Outer piping on rear seats are weak that ingress/egress caused some damage to them

Then, within one week of having the car:

1. power steering stopped working
2. sunroof switches (open/close & tilt up/down) does the same functions instead of individually

When you take in your car to get some of these issues fixed, do you need a TSIB number or you just tell them whats wrong with the car and they look at it for free?

I just went in to the dealership and complaint about brake dust and mention there is an existing TSIB on 06-07 GSes and they took care of mines. Knowing your service advisors and being a loyal customer since 2001 helps alot
