You are one of the lucky ones, many 350s have rattles

I also must be lucky.. I have a 06' GS300 and fortunately don't have any of the rattles (knock on wood) that have been commonly reported.

As a GS300 owner (w/o NAV), I do wish I waited for the 07 GS350 because I would have gotten:
* MP3 Playback
* 60 More Horsepower
* 18" 5 spoke
* Sharkfin (very fashionable for all luxury cars to have lately)

I found a few more subtle differences (both my 3gs's were GS 300's, Middle East version).

The '07 has Gen 5 nav; it allows you to record your route, is more accurate when placing the car, has updates, the graphics are amazing, but it feels a bit slower when entering addresses.

The '07 didn't have those tiny plastic aerodynamic aides (like mini-mudguards) in front of the front wheels.

The ML Stereo now supports MP3 and WMA playback (the Middle East '06 also couldn't play DVD's but now it can).

Less rattles; the '07 is definately better than the '06 was at the same age.

Traction control can be completely switched off without using the foot-brake hack.

When selecting manual mode, the transmission slips into 4th - the '06 used to slip into 5th.

Electronic trunk closer doesn't try to activate when the trunk is already open.

Hope that helps.

Cheers!

Alex

it is good sign that GS doesnt have real problems :-).

Would you want them to cry about engines, electrical issues, etc, etc?

:-)

Counterpoint:

My 06 GS300 has no rattles at all...none...in any weather. I consider it a luxury car, so the acceleration (247 hp) is more than adequate for my needs. I have a BMW K1200RS for times when I want to hit 60 in under 4 seconds! Fuel economy is consistently 31 mpg highway, 27 combined. Shark fin is pure bling in my opinion...especially if you don't have satellite radio. Would rather not have that protruberance sticking up from my otherwise tasteful profile. Very happy with the car. A matter of priorities. It's your priorities that count...not ours.

I am lucky too that in my '06 GS300 I have had no rattles after 43k miles.

I switched to 18 inche tires anf got the spyder wheels, which look great...especially on the black GS. I do wish it had more hp like the 350, but I wanted quiet luxury, so it is fast enough for me.

Weight. Makes it possible for me to take the gs350 all day. From both a role and a dig.
