your left/right controls for the mirrors are in the Center position. if you leave them in CEnter, they do not tilt (that is by design for those that do not like the tilt). if you like the tilt, just make sure you leave them on Right or Left.

Check to see that the selector is set to either the right or left rear view mirror. If the light isn't on either, the mirrors won't tilt down.

I believe there is also a TSB out for it as the system has failed on the IS and GS I believe.

Default reverse tilt mirrors

My side reverse mirrors will no longer tilt when I drive in reverse and im wondering why? I can still press the button to make the mirrors come in and i can still adjust them by pressing the buttons in the drop down menu but they will not tilt when in reverse.

Does any one have any ideas

Is either the left or right mirror selected in the drop down box? If not, then they don't tilt down...

I had the same problem and i just manually tilted the mirror downwards and then adjusted it through the controls back to the correct position. then when i reverse, it goes all the way down..

I will set mine to the right or left side and it will tilt down, although the driver side won't tilt as much. But once the engine is off, the setting will go back to the neutral so that it won't tile down when in reverse. Could it be a programming issue? Someone mentioned TSB on this, I have an 06 gs 430 and my warranty is over so I would rather not spend money on this as I know they'll charge me an arm and a leg for this. Can someone let me know of this TSB?

thanks.
