Default 4.14 sec 0-60 GS430!!!!

Had to make a new thread for this video.

This is on oem 17" wheels (and I need new tires).
Just in case anyone doesn't know, these are my mods
RMM supercharger
ppe headers
high flow cats
2.5" piping,
tanabe medallion touring,
2800 torque converter

First attempt I just spun and the car started going sideways so I aborted and tried again.
Broken down on a movie editing program.
0=15.15 seconds 60=19.29 seconds
19.29-15.15=4.14 seconds!!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wFEteCpjW4

Here's Another run (this was actually my first run) With traction control on (forgot to turn it off) and you can even see the traction control light flashing during the 1st to 2nd gear shift!!

0=3.96 seconds 60=8.71 seconds
8.71-3.96=4.75 seconds

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybD9Rsj87GM

I am starting the count when the needle is completely planted on the 0mph mark and when it is completely planted on the 60mph mark. Not just when its barely touching either of them.

Enjoy!!!

It's quick! However, I'd say that you're in the low 5sec range, as the speedometer isn't accurate (when it indicates 60mph, you're probably doing 57mph).

Do you still have the open diff?

I don't agree with you on that one. Maybe someone else can chime in on this. But if what you're saying was true then every time the speedometer showed 60 then the actual speed would be 57 thus making the speedometer always off by 3mph when it shows 60 otherwise that would mean that the speedometer actually moves quicker than the car accelerates

Anyway yes I still have open diff

Guess I'm gonna have to start using my gtech pro (if I can find the suction cup thingy)
Also my best 0-60 on stock wheels (when tires were way newer) and all I had was 2800 stall converter and exhaust was 0-60 in 5.4seconds. I'm sure everything else I've added would put me well into the mid to low 4 second range.

What I meant is that the needle doesn't show the speed accurately. It always shows a bit more than your real speed.

Ever checked the speed on your GPS while driving? The GPS will show a slower speed than your speedo.

The Gtech would be more accurate, yes.

I've never noticed a difference between either of my gps units and my speedometer. Plus why wouldn't the speedometers just be calibrated to make up for that difference? Can't see why that would be so hard to do. So every time a cop uses a radar gun there is a 3mph difference between what his radar gun shows and what a speedometer shows(at least at 60)?? I'm gonna have to look into this more. Because right now I don't see why it would be designed/setup like that.

Basically yes. It gives the driver a margin of error. The speedo can indicate less than the real speed, but never more.

My speedo has a 15km/h difference at top speed (240km/h on the GPS vs 255km/h on the speedo), at lower speeds it's about 5km/h.

Also I have noticed a bigger gap (speedo vs GPS) with my 235/45 17 tires than with my previous 225/55 16s.

Maybe, I haven't calculated anything, it's just what I experienced.

Anyway, didn't want to bash on you or your car's performance. You got a quick car, but your numbers are likely to be inaccurate. Post the numbers of the Gtech when you get a chance.

Awesome numbers... and yes that is very fast... I don't understand the whole speedo being that far off.. If he was running a 20'' wheel than yes it can be off by as much as 5mph...

I find the speedo on my GS3 to be off by 5km/h at 100km/h and that's on stock wheels and stock tire size. Yes, maybe I was exagerating a bit too much. I was just saying that his numbers were probably were not accurating. Anyway, yes, it's a VERY quick car.
