New Memeber
Hello Everyone,
I just bought my first Lexus, a 2003 GS300 Sport Design. It's Black with the Saddle interior. The only one I could find in Texas and Oklahoma for sale with the Saddle interior. It's got 90,700 miles on it and I need to do the 90k with timing belt service.
Let me give yall little background on me.
I've been a factory trained BMW Technician for over 22 years. I remember when Lexus first hit the market.
My fellow techs and I just laughed at Toyota trying to compete with the German car market.
Well, I've made a 180 turn on this car company. The one word that sums it up is RELIABILTY.
My wife is going to be the primary driver, and when she puts the key in the ignition, I want it to start every time.
I really have zero confidence in BMW's automatic transmissions, they can go out anywhere from 70k to 150k. But it does seem their more reliable after the 150k mark, if they make it that far, then most of the time they go on forever.
If anyone has any service tips on the GS300 please pass them along. I'm getting conflicking info. on the trans. maint schedule. Alldata states fluid and filter every 30k or 24 months. But in the service table it never mentions changing the trans fluid.
Thanks,

Thanks,
R&R lower ball joints, outer tie rods, and check the lower control arm bushing #2. As far as maintenance, what I did for mine when I first purcahsed it I just replaced all the fluids and replaced whatever I needed to so that way it's kinda like starting from zero.
