Default My TRD grill with new mesh.

I got the TRD grill and love the CF look, but I don't like the big mesh. So, I went to Home Depot bought a gutter gaurd for $3.00, a can of primer, a can of gross black and a can of clear coat.
After 2 coats of primer, 3 coats of paint and 2 coat of clear coat within 5 days. Finally got it install on the grill.

This is the original mesh. You can see the radiator.

I have to be real careful to remove the speed nuts that hold the mesh. The plastic tips break off so easy and I broke 2 of them, but there're 14 more. I used the pick tool and carefully ger underneath the speed nut and gently pry it up.
After remove the original mesh out. I put the mesh on top of the gutter gaurd and draw the line for cutting. I used a pair of cutting pliers. What pain in the rear, but 15 minutes later I'm ready to install it.

The top mesh is the original and compare with the new mesh.

Lighting on first shot seems more favorable than on the second one (showing the radiator). I'd like to see the new grille in the same light.

I will do it when we get some sunlight. Seems like we have a cloudy weather in Atlanta for 5-6 days now. This the picture, but still no enough sunlight.

Very nice. I considered doing mine the exact same way (grill ver 1.0) , but switched the whole thing, then again, then again.
