Default removing the neutral safety switch. Anyone?

I'm having a problem after i got my car back from a body shop. They replaced the driver side fender and doors for me. Now i can't get out of Park unless i press down the switch. Also the gears indicator light on the gauge cluster is not working.

- I have checked all of my brake lights and they are all in working order.
- I checked the STOP fuse and it's good. Checked the rest of the fuses and everything is good.
- I also exchanged a brake switch with another car. Didn't solve the problem.

The only thing left i can think of right now is the neutral safety switch. But I can't take it out completely. It's stuck because there's not enough room to take it out.

Have anyone done removing the neutral safety switch on the transmission for the GS yet? I managed to removed the two bolts but now i can't completely take it out because it's hitting against my car frame. Give me some tips if you have done it

Is there a way to test the part to know that it's the problem?

This is a picture i found of the part that's hitting against the frame

I read on the forums and the neutral switch seem to be the problem causing all of that.

have you checked the fuse panel by your left foot. I had this problem and it was a fuse that is related to the brake lights.

I checked all of the small fuses on the bottom left panel. Can you give me some more details on which fuses?

I have checked the STOP fuse and the passenger side under the hood side. Are there fuses on the right side? I thought they're just relays

I'm seriously running out of idea. I got the car back from the body shop because they were installing a new fender and door for me. I'm assuming they short or blew a fuses while doing that. Are there anything under the driver side fender that can cause this problem?

Are you visually inspecting the fuses or using a multimeter? After having some work done on my car recently, a bunch of random fuses were blown. 9/10 of em were visibly blown, but one fuse was a sneaky lil Sh$5*...

I checked with this fuse tester and a multimeter. I know it gotta be a fuse or a short somewhere. Everything was running good until the body shop touched my car.

I'm going to attempt to check the passenger side kick panel today and see.

Check your brake lights. The car will not shift out of park unless the brake pedal is pressed, if the brake switch is broken or stuck you cant shift (and your lights wont work either).

I drove around for a week in my old ES300 before someone told me none of my brake lights worked. I had to use the release button to shift from park. Turns out it was the switch on the pedal.
